Wave Solder Pallets

EMC offers Wave Solder Pallets with two different designs, depending approaches on your volume and budget:

Dedicated Wave Solder Pallets are designed for use with conveyor systems or as an insert.

  • On the edge designers, accustomed to seeing the PCB layouts that just aren’t user friendly
  • Your solution for processing double-sided mixed technology Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
  • Shields sensitive components
  • Can be designed to accommodate multiple PCB locations and odd shaped PCBs
  • Increases throughput and reduces defects by minimizing human interface

Composite Adjustable Wave Solder Pallets are made to accommodate various PCBs.

  • All parts that contact the wave are composite
  • Offers easy setup and maximum flexibility
  • Can be configured with a masking wave break, masking inside rail or other custom designed features
  • Typically a Capital Expense

Workboard Holders

EMC manufactures Workboard Holders with three different design approaches, depending on your needs: Dedicated Workboard Holders are designed for use with Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) of a specific size.

  • A perfect solution for large volume applications that require rapid setup and changeover
  • Allows several PCBs to be precisely positioned simultaneously
  • X,Y tolerances guaranteed to be +/- .001"

Adjustable Workboard Holders (from the EMC Logical series) are made to accommodate various PCBs.

  • Ideal for contract manufacturers
  • Available with adjustable or dedicated tooling
  • Great for short runs and prototypes
  • Capitalizable

Mother/Daughter Dedicated Workboard Holder system is a cost-effective alternative for mixed product production.

  • Ideal when PCB population is performed by two or more types of thru-hole insertion equipment

Process Carriers

EMC manufactures a Surface Mount Process Carrier to meet a variety of needs: Surface Mount Process Carriers are designed to fixture a circuit board through the entire assembly process, including screen print, pick & place, reflow and wash.

  • Eliminates unwanted handling of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) by operators
  • Made of composite materials that remain stable with repeated passes through the hostile production environment
  • Many clamping methods are available - such as spring-loaded clamps, side force clamps, extremely thin stainless steel clamps and spring-supported location pins
  • Keeps boards rigid through the entire process, ensuring solder joint integrity

Cyberclean 1000 Stencil Cleaner

The CyberClean® 1000 is a stencil cleaner designed for chemistries that do not require a water rinse. These machines run exclusively on compressed air and are available in various sizes and types. Basic models are built in a compact footprint with cleaning chamber sizes of 16", 24", 32", and 40" square. Convertible models are available with the same cleaning chamber sizes that are slightly larger in footprint, allowing for customization of the equipment.

The innovative pneumatic spray system provides a pulsating high-volume, low-pressure spray that gently but thoroughly cleans even dried-on soils. Ergonomic front-loading design and front panel mounted controls provide easy operation. Internal access can be gained from three sides for ease of maintenance and service.

Plumbing and tanks are constructed of stainless steel with corrosion resistant exterior access panels. Machines can be configured to handle most solder paste and adhesive cleaning chemistries on the market today. Closed-loop systems are available.

Cyberclean 2000 Stencil Cleaner

The CyberClean® 2000 Series is a stencil cleaner designed for chemistries that do not require a water rinse. These machines are electrically operated and provide more application pressure than our pneumatic machines. As in the 1000 series, they come in four wash chamber sizes, 16", 24\", 32\" and 40\" square. Basic PLC process control allows for flexibility in programming cycle times as well as many other peripheral functions. A dedicated filtration system that continually passes the cleaning chemistry through staged particulate filters and media beds is a standard feature on the convertible models.

Naturally, environmental and operator safety have been addressed throughout the design. The cleaning chemistry is kept in a sealed reservoir during product loading and unloading, thus exposing much less solution to the outside environment. Cooling coils in the reservoir are used to keep evaporation to a minimum, and are a standard feature. Both open and closed loop exhaust systems are available.

Cyberclean 3000 Stencil Cleaner

The CyberClean® 3000 Series is stencil cleaner designed for chemistries that require a water rinse. These machines are electrically operated and are built in a compact footprint with cleaning chamber sizes of 16", 24", 32", and 40" square. Convertible models are available with the same cleaning chamber sizes that are slightly larger in footprint, allowing for customization of the equipment.

The 3000 series also provides the capability of heating the cleaning chemistry to the desired operating temperature prior to application.

Naturally, environmental and operator safety have been addressed throughout the design. The cleaning chemistry is kept in a sealed reservoir during product loading and unloading, thus exposing much less solution to the outside environment.

As in the 1000 and 2000 series, 3000 series machines are available in two models. Liquid level control and visible cycle indicator lights are a standard feature on all models. Automatic chemical metering, pump out and refill are available on upgraded models.

Inline Cleaners

EMC manufactures its Inline Cleaning systems using polypropylene for the tanks and outer shell. Plumbing components and pumps are all high grade stainless steel. Models are available for cleaning water soluble and rosin based fluxes. All are PLC controlled.

Cyberclean Inline Model 100

The Model 100 Inline Cleaner is capable of cleaning water soluble solder fluxes at up to 2 feet per minute, and is an excellent choice for the low volume manufacturer. The 100 comes standard with a 24” wide conveyor, and is under 11 feet in length.

Cyberclean Inline Model 200

The Model 200 Inline Cleaner is capable of cleaning water soluble solder fluxes at up to 3 feet per minute, and is the machine to choose for medium volume production. The 200 comes standard with a 24” wide conveyor, and is 14 feet long.

Cyberclean Inline Model 300

The Model 300 Inline Cleaner is capable of cleaning water soluble solder fluxes at up to 5 feet per minute. This system is designed for high volume manufacture, comes standard with a 24” wide conveyor and is 17 feet in length.

Cyberclean Inline Model 400

The Model 400 Inline Cleaner is capable of using a water based cleaning chemistry, and can process boards at up to 4 feet per minute. The system is designed for the low to medium volume manufacturer, comes standard with a 24” wide conveyor and is under 15 feet long.

Cyberclean Inline Model 500

The Model 500 is capable of using a water based cleaning chemistry, and is designed for those customers cleaning to military specifications. Boards can be processed at up to 4 feet per minute. The system comes standard with a 24” wide conveyor and is 17 feet in length.

Cyberclean 6000, Cyberclean 6001, Cyberclean 6002

The CyberClean® 6000 Series is a batch cleaner designed for the tough demands of the electronics industry and works with chemistries that require a water rinse. Intended for cleaning assembled circuit boards in a basket or pallet, the 6000 is available in a compact footprint with a cleaning chamber sizes of 18.5” x 20.5” x 20.5”.

The 6000 series also provides the capability of heating the cleaning chemistry to the desired operating temperature prior to application.

In addition, the 6000 series offers sophisticated microprocessor controls, more than 60 programmable recipes, and an integrated forced air dryer with both coarse and HEPA filters to ensure clean, particle-free and thorough drying.

Naturally, environmental and operator safety have been addressed throughout the design. The cleaning chemistry is kept in a sealed reservoir during product loading and unloading, thus exposing much less solution to the outside environment.

Cyberclean 7836

The Cyberclean 7836 is a batch cleaner designed to run deionized water as the cleaning agent. The system is microprocessor controlled and is capable of storing 48 programmable cleaning recipes. Its high volume and low pressure spray gently cleans water soluble solder fluxes from assembled circuit boards.

The 7836 is manufactured from high-grade electropolished stainless steel with tri-fold seam construction. This method provides enhanced corrosion resistance in even the harshest of environments. A heavy duty circulation pump delivers 158 gpm for fast and thorough cleaning. The 6kW heating element ensures fast and accurate heating of the DI water during the washing and rinsing cycles. Drying is accomplished with a HEPA filtered forced hot air system.

Cyberclean 7883CD

The Cyberclean 7883CCD is designed to run deionized water as the cleaning agent. The system is configured with 8 standard programs and 1 fully programmable custom program. Its high volume and low pressure spray gently cleans water soluble solder fluxes from assembled circuit boards.

The 7883 is manufactured from high-grade electropolished stainless steel with tri-fold seam construction. This method provides enhanced corrosion resistance in even the harshest of environments. A heavy duty circulation pump delivers 106 gpm for fast and thorough cleaning. The 6kW heating element ensures fast and accurate heating of the DI water during the washing and rinsing cycles. Drying is accomplished with a HEPA filtered forced hot air system.
